'Joe Millionaire' Takes Deceit Global First, MTV foisted "The Real World" on France. Now, FOX is doing its part to sour international relations with the second edition of "Joe Millionaire."For those who haven't seen the near-ubiquitous network promos for the show, "The Next Joe Millionaire" is essentially serving up the same lie to women who don't know what happened on the first incarnation of the show.Since doing that would be well-nigh impossible in the United States -- 40 million people watched the show's finale in February, and "Joe" was all over the press -- FOX went out and found 14 European women interested in meeting a wealthy American.Of course, this Joe, a Texas rodeo cowboy named David Smith, can barely afford a new Stetson, let alone the Italian mansion where the show was taped. FOX says Smith, 24, makes about $11,000 a year.Smith's cover story is that he recently inherited $80 million, and he's looking for a woman with whom to share his newfound wealth. As Evan Marriott was last time around, Smith will be aided and abetted by butler Paul Hogan."The Next Joe Millionaire" premieres at 8 p.m. ET Monday, Oct. 20.
